um well little league opening day is tomorrow-
C is looking forward to his first game are the hubby & I except the parking issue why is there not parking at these ball fields? and why are there so many bad drivers? and parkers?
Sunday will apparently kick off birthday season C got 2 invites this week alone. The jump it up/pump it up places seem to still be the party of choice amongst the boys. I am still trying to talk C into a bowling party but it has worked yet ah well I still have a few more months to work on the lad.

my head just might explode
well maybe not literally although yesterday it was on the verge of literally exploding which is why I went home early drugged up on Tylenol, filled my ice pack and collapsed in a heap for a few hours. Felt better in the evening in fact took the boy to baseball practice was amongst people and survived. This morning the headache is starting to creep back in. I am not a fan of being sick but I would rather be really sick for a few days and the better. This week long nonsense -I have a sore throat, no maybe I don't I am just congested, congested and have a cough, ok maybe not, have headache, losing my voice no wait it's better oops my throat hurts again -UGH! tired of it!
and then there is the conundrum about which medicine to choose nyquil? dayquil? midafternoonquil? tylenol sore throat? sore throat and cough? will it help the headache? I don't have a fever and/or body aches. Should I get cold medicine or cold and allergy? Then when you finally break down and pick out a medicine to purchase you have to sign about 50 waivers swearing that with your 1 bottle of cold medicine you will not be cooking meth in your kitchen.

even in the second grade
C worked on his diorama project and little report about cougars over spring break and brought it into school yesterday. I was very proud he did a nice job on his project with very little assistance from mommy. Now did I help some-of course I helped with cutting and out offered a suggestion or 2 and one was taken the others ignored it was his project. One was that we get another cougar photo to add to the diorama
"well we will need a huge box because cougars don't live together in fact they mark their territory to warn off other cougars" put mommy in her place thank you very much...
I asked him how some of the others looked well I'm guessing some of these little people had evidently one girl had a light mounted in her diorama. Really? second grade? what the hell good are you doing by pulling crap like that? guess what the teacher spends the day with your child they know what each child is and is not capable of....

ok back to Easter for one minute
am I the only one completely creeped out by the whole Easter Bunny idea?
From a purely secular viewpoint-
a giant rabbit bringing you candy? is that sanitary? how the hell does it get into your house? any rabbit I've come across isn't leaving behind candy if you get my drift...
I was a good mommy and crawled out of bed a mere hour after having gone to sleep feeling like death warmed over because I had forgotten to put together the basket for the boy. I warned D the EB would not be leaving him a basket but was nonetheless chastised for the lack of Reese Peanut butter eggs

back to our regular scheduled program
-spring break is over(finally)
-D is back to his regular work schedule(I'm not a big fan of the 3rd shift)
-Oscar is still well...Oscar
-after a deadly but effective hot toddy last night I feel better today
-C does have his flashy new suit for First Communion. I tried to push the pinstripe but no Mommy I want the plain black and no not the red tie thank you very much...
My family will be coming to town in a mere 2 & 1/2 weeks we have still not painted or purchased living room furniture D seems to think we still will by then I however do not. The painting well maybe but furniture no way it is generally 3 weeks or more on that sort of stuff. And honestly I am not bothered by any of it whatsoever. It will get done this spring at some point. I would like him to put together the damn patio furniture we bought last year but we'll see....
The spare room and in fact the whole house need a major clean. I am thinking about taking a day off by myself and tackling that, hate to waste a vacation day but ya gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes and as far as cleaning I work better when the boys are someplace else.
