at the end of the day he is a Dad

in one of those regardless of your political opinions I thought this letter from Jenna & Barbara Bush to Sasha & Malia Obama was really sweet.

" although it's an honor and full of so many extraordinary opportunities, it isn't always easy being a member of the club you are about to join. Our dad, like yours, is a man of great integrity and love; a man who always put us first. We still see him now as we did when we were seven: as our loving daddy. Our Dad, who read to us nightly, taught us how to score tedious baseball games. He is our father, not the sketch in a paper or part of a skit on TV. Many people will think they know him, but they have no idea how he felt the day you were born, the pride he felt on your first day of school, or how much you both love being his daughters. So here is our most important piece of advice: remember who your dad really is."

quit calling me

is there a do not call number for cell phones?? because I am sick and tired of the automated junk calls! The wait is entirely too long to try and get a real person so you can be removed from their call lists likewise waiting for the end of the spiel just to press whichever random number they have picked for you to press so you won't get their damned annoying phone calls any longer and that is assuming that is effective... The calls from CA have stopped but the ones from Washington DC started today. However I did press #2 so maybe they'll be from MI tomorrow

I wish we could have gone perhaps in four years we can manage the trip. There was a snow day today so C was for sure able to watch the swearing in ceremony and I was glad for that it is truly one for the history books.
