is that really blogging?

say there is more than one blog in your life and you blog on site A a link to site B where you actually wrote something can you explain the point of site A? Some of these folks are "professional" bloggers(read as they are getting paid) isn't this sort of lame on their part?

No. Blog whores are very sad creatures. "Read what I wrote here" on 11 blogs and content on one blog does not allow you to say that you maintain 12 blogs. Occasionally asking readers to look at something that you think is important is okay. Doing it daily is not.

I have one main blog, Random Ramblings. I maintain 2 others, Knox Writing Club (of which I am an active member) and Karen's K9s -n- Kats. I have another blog that I don't really "advertise" (for want of a better word) that is my 365 Pix Project. But rarely, if ever, do I say, "Hey - check out what I wrote on this other blog!"

Most folks who read my Random Ramblings blog I leave alone to find their own way! Although, I do have a "mailing list" of folks (mostly family) who want to know when I update my blog...but they tell me if they want to receive that email or not.

I like to consider myself a writer, not necessarily a blogger. Either way, it's writing and that's what's fun for me.

yeah I don't have a problem with some linkage. I reference other blogs even other posts I have written but it is the blog whores that irk me

I know who you're talking about, and I agree with you. Meh... professional linker, not professional blogger. Better to have one or two good ones I say. But then again, I don't even have that most of the time.
