who's in charge of what?

as I missed 3 days of work this past week I am working today to, well catch up & save some of my sick time but I've left C in charge while I'm gone...
Can't wait to see how that works out!

and in the mornin' I'm makin' waffles..

talked to my brother last night and he had made waffles for dinner so it has me thinking I need to drag out the waffle iron this weekend as well. I have always liked having breakfast for dinner! C already jumped on the bacon and sausage idea but "no thanks I don't really like waffles"
freak child
he'll eat asparagus, escargot, lima beans? but not waffles?
If he didn't look like me I would seriously question whether or not he had been switched at the hospital.

in sickness & health

so we are home today again D is in real pain. He lives with chronic pain due to a severe car wreck at 19 but this is worse in fact the worst I have seen him. Clearly or I wouldn't be staying out of work to be with him. Hopefully some of the medication will start to kick in today and he will be able to function tomorrow. If we are going to lay out of work it's much more fun to go to the movies or out to lunch or something.
When we were up at 3 this morning it occurred to me that my father, brother & I are all married to people that tend toward severe medical issues what's up with that?

happiness is

a warm puppy.
I've just spent the past couple of hours dozing in front of the tv with Oscar superpug extraordinaire curled up beside me. Did we finally get snow you ask? No freezing rain-can't drive in that, although that was not the reason I home today-D is feeling very bad and needed an escort to the doctor so it was decided last night before we knew of the inclement weather that we would take sick days. Unfortunate for him because I think he loses his holiday pay for yesterday but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.

well when did that happen?

I'm a football fan?
GO GIANTS!

one & a half thumbs up

for the movie D really liked it. a lot. I liked it as well right up until I got motion sickness?! The hand held camera style clearly did not agree with me so I spent half the movie trying not to hurl popcorn I closed my eyes but I know I missed out by just listening to the film. I do recommend it but be warned if you are prone to motion sickness-which I am not usually-be careful!

living on the edge

ooh D & I are off to the cinema in a bit to see Cloverfield. I hope it lives up to the hype but hell it's just novel going to the movies. I am not sure when I stopped oh yeah it was having a kid that slowed that down...
