and while we are talking vacation

I had really hoped to take the megabus to DC over spring break in fact I had almost bought tickets a few months back I mean come on what a deal 3 of us travel to DC for only under $10? how totally awesome is that? But alas the current "oh God what's wrong now?" state of affairs has us not traveling for spring break of course in all fairness we generally don't travel for spring break we are not those people I'd like to be but in the real world we can't drop everything and go on vacation several times a year but wouldn't it be nice? I am hoping we can work out the DC trip sometime within the next year there is so much to do & see there not least of all is a restaurant owned by top chef contestant that I would like to try plus several that Anthony Bourdain spotlighted on his show. And quite frankly I love museums & historical stuff so DC is right up my alley!

ok so I am not so young but my feet are in desperate need of attention before I even consider dragging out my sandals...might have to try and find the time for a pedicure this weekend

spring break

this time for the kiddo and nope not doing anything this year either...there has been talk of a Disney trip for next spring break but of course we were suppose to go this summer right after school let out, that got changed to Thanksgiving at some point and currently I guess it has been dropped altogether for now with hopes for next March. I suppose the only way we will get it done is if I just book it and make a down payment forcing us to actually pay for the trip. Not much going this week hubs & I have work, I have school, although labs were cancelled this week giving me this evening off, C had his sleepover, is spending some time with MIL, has gone to daycare a couple of days and is spending the day with David on Friday doing guy stuff I suppose. Unfortunately I don't have any vacation to spare and take a day off with him this year which bothers me but it cannot be helped. We have some Mommy/C time booked for Saturday starting out at the ihop for breakfast which I am looking forward to

woo hoo on spring break!

that's right as of 10:30 this morning oh wait I am still married, still have a kid and a dog and a house that seems to self generate dirty laundry & dishes, still have the full time job...well crap spring break is not as much fun as it use to be now is it?

spring break part deux

C has his turn at spring break this week. Gee wouldn't it have been nice if we would have had the same week?? alas that didn't happen...The kid started break with a sleepover at a friend's house including a trip to see Race to Witch Mountain followed by a Saturday of shopping then Sunday it was his turn to host a sleepover, only 1 friend I may be crazy but I am not nuts! The boys had all day to play on Monday. Poor boring all day Tuesday he went to daycare but then spent the night at his Mee-Maw's house and I guess he is spending the rest of the week there near as I can tell. Pretty sure MIL is taking C & cousin Z to Chuck E Cheese along with their aunt who is a big kid herself! Then Aunt S is taking them to do something tomorrow not quite sure what exactly but she planned on going or doing something. No flashy trips or big plans but a fun break nonetheless

woohoo spring break

gee spring break was a whole lot more fun back in the olden days when it meant I had a week off. While I have no school this week all that just translates into I can work complete days during week and have next Saturday off...of course my dream of a weekend off not so much as the dreaded inventory is scheduled for next Sunday! It just figures doesn't it?! I'll save my diatribe on just how much I hate doing inventory for next weekend.
