it's like having a whole new wardrobe
perhaps a slight over exaggeration but cleaning out my closet has resurrected several pieces of clothing I forgot I owned..imagine what would happen if I actually cleaned out the garage?!

yup he's growing up
on our back to school clothes shopping jaunt this weekend I was politely asked to not accompany C into the changing room. Weirdness but he is growing up not to mention he is shopping in the men's department these days so it would be more than a little odd to go into the changing rooms at this point. C does however need to work on the whole coming out in new clothes so I can see how well they fit etc... and I either need a geek phone or more stores need to offer wifi to keep me amused while I wait out side the changing rooms oh and some chairs or a bench might be nice while you're at it folks

and so it begins
C is on the verge of becoming a clothes horse. He loves shopping for new clothes & shoes. We can go shopping for a suit and he finds 3 or 4 tee shirts he absolutely needs as well. For a very long time I would just shop for him but as he is getting older & bigger he has to come along to try things on plus generally speaking let him pick out what he wants to wear. I have never understood his desire for tee shirts that have something snarky to say about a sibling mainly because well he doesn't have one and at this point is not going to get one but whatever floats your boat I suppose. Anywho I have visions of just a few years from now dropping him and the mall with pricey shopping excursions to Buckle & Hollister or whatever happens to be trendy at that point in time. Just this past weekend his MeeMaw was discussing how she was just going to get him his own credit card so he can go shopping. Funny except she was serious, David contends there is probably already a credit card with the kid's name on it somewhere at this point. Regardless I thought we had a couple of years but this morning I got a request for a specific Northface jacket he was wanting.....let the shopping games begin

99th percentile
C has been a big kid from the start. Always tallest in his class or on his team and he seems to grow like a weed so I learned very early on like when he was 6 months old not to expect him to make it through a season in one size. Basically to buy clothes a little bigger than he needed and hope for the best. Shockingly it seems like we are quickly transitioning to the men's department for clothing. The upper end of boys clothing are just fitting and as I look at clothing this Christmas some of it will be from the men's department. No really shopping the men's department for my 8 year old son.
Wonder if I could get him to start smoking? or drink coffee? will putting a heavy book on his head stunt his growth any?
