full day already

so D worked overnight last night which generally means I do not sleep so well.
Found myself up at 4 am
did 2 loads of laundry
made dinner for tonight
cleaned up kitchen and started dishwasher
made pot of coffee and had breakfast
got lunches around for C & myself
watched the rest of a show I had DVR'd
I was about ready to go back to bed but oh no had to get C up and the 2 of us out the door for school and work blah...

clearly I have underestimated their draw. Thee has been a guy out front since before 7 a.m waiting to purchase tickets. The store opens at 9 and he and his wife are currently standing at the front counter until 10 when tix actually go on sale

the pajama pant

I have several pairs and enjoy wearing them-around the house not out to the store.
Yes I am judging.
for God's sake throw on a pair of jeans if you need something at wally-world. seriously.
I have no idea why it irks me so but it does so there it is...
That being said I broke first rule of pajama pants last weekend after camping yes I wore my pants to the pancake house I am bad people.
Somehow we lucked into an absolutely do nothing day on Saturday a do nothing wear my pajama pants all day sort of day. It was a good day.

real reason I am not headed to the derby

hats-I can't wear 'em. I love them. I love the idea of wearing one. I just cannot pull it off, I'm ok in the occasional baseball hat but that's it. And mint juleps just sound gross I can't even stomach a mojito but for some reason I still really want to go to the derby...

summer camp

so we are back here again already-where did the year go???
C is signed up for the "summer camp" at his daycare which while a daycare center it is I guess just aftercare for him and summer camp as well I don't think the semantics of what we are calling it bothers C as of yet. We are golden with where we are at till 5th grade which will I'm sure be here before you know it! I am still having a hard time believing he starts 3rd grade in August-did I not just give birth? no I guess I can't be still calling this baby weight anymore then can I?
So any way just a few more years then we will have to arrange a series of day camps for the boy-the paper puts out a supplement each spring that lists a multitude of day camp & summer activities which should help in the planning.
Sleep away camp also came up this weekend and I hope that we will be able to swing that for C at some point. I always desperately wanted to do that in the summer but alas we never did..I was such a deprived child or was that depraved? I get confused.

everyone just needs to get out of the way

good grief the backroom is ridiculous today. I can't do my work because I can't get to my work.
I am cranky maybe I should just go home and take a nap.....

seperation of church and state

religion is a personal thing it does not belong in the public school system and here is an excellent opinion on the subject from missy it is a must read!

and no one got eaten by a bear

although we did try to convince C that he needed to tell everyone he injured his face while fighting off an attacking bear. It makes for a better story than I was running, tripped on a tree stump and fell on my face.
But noooo "that's silly mom a bear would have just eaten me I could not outrun it they are very fast" Luckily no major damage a good bruise, couple of scratches and a little bit of a black eye makes him look very roguish-all the girls should be swarming today...
It really was a lot of fun I think we did better with what we did & did not bring this time around with even more room for improvement next time and now that we own our own stuff I really thing we should try to go more than once a year! Might be tricky-trying to coordinate a group of people and arranging 1 weekend when everyone is free is easier said than done
