the pajama pant

I have several pairs and enjoy wearing them-around the house not out to the store.
Yes I am judging.
for God's sake throw on a pair of jeans if you need something at wally-world. seriously.
I have no idea why it irks me so but it does so there it is...
That being said I broke first rule of pajama pants last weekend after camping yes I wore my pants to the pancake house I am bad people.
Somehow we lucked into an absolutely do nothing day on Saturday a do nothing wear my pajama pants all day sort of day. It was a good day.

and no one got eaten by a bear

although we did try to convince C that he needed to tell everyone he injured his face while fighting off an attacking bear. It makes for a better story than I was running, tripped on a tree stump and fell on my face.
But noooo "that's silly mom a bear would have just eaten me I could not outrun it they are very fast" Luckily no major damage a good bruise, couple of scratches and a little bit of a black eye makes him look very roguish-all the girls should be swarming today...
It really was a lot of fun I think we did better with what we did & did not bring this time around with even more room for improvement next time and now that we own our own stuff I really thing we should try to go more than once a year! Might be tricky-trying to coordinate a group of people and arranging 1 weekend when everyone is free is easier said than done

camping

yes we are going to go camping again this spring. I believe a weekend is in the works. Shocking to those who know my view of camping is a hotel without room service! We had a good time last spring and I am really looking forward to going again-it's a good group of people and there will be more kiddies this time for C to pal around with. After last year I have a better idea of what we will and won't need to bring along and first on my list is blow up mattress oh and a camping coffee press! camping is better with caffeine.
I believe the steak on a stick is indeed a culinary treat is worth repeating. About smores & roasted marshmallows they are just gross I do not like them but I think they are a requirement while camping...

no one was eaten by a bear

yes everyone survived the camping trip, but it was only for 1 night. Actually we had a really good time, a great group of peoples, campfire, roasted marshmallows the whole bit. I must admit I think I may need a new hip from sleeping on the ground, I had planned on bringing the blow-up mattress but didn't-I know better for next time! Yes were talking about a next time even..crazy huh?

camping

My view of camping has always been a hotel without room service, a view happily shared by hubby. Somehow we are going real camping at the end of April with a group of friends. Real in as far as it is considered "car camping" pull your car into camp site. I am oddly looking forward to it and actually trying to figure out how we got talked into going.Connor is beside himself with the very idea of a tent. It must be a boy thing I remember my younger brother really digging his tent, it the deep wilds of our front yard.
