but I do not consider mcnuggets to be real meat so I get a pas on the Ash Wednesday transgression for lunch...the roast in the crock pot for dinner is however a different story

is it weird that the taco bell revelations all over the news have only succeeded in making me crave taco bell?

are theresuch things as calorie offsets?

maybe fast food isn't as bad for you if you walk to the fast food establishment

fast food...rarely fast and sometimes not food at least not anything easily recognizable

how lazy can you be?

when the line at the drive thru is 3, 4 or more cars deep I park and go inside and not once has it taken me longer than waiting in line burning up gas

the pumpkin pecan cake

almost did not make it to the school this morning! The PTA was throwing a pumpkin themed snack thing for the teachers so I pulled out my bundt cake recipe book and found the only pumpkin cake recipe listed & signed up to make that. For some strange reason my regular sized bundt pan as gone AWOL so I used the more decorative but smaller sized one which meant leftover batter and I made a couple of muffins and OMG they were so good. So good in fact I will put a pumpkin pecan cake on the menu for Thursday, maybe the problem being David & I also make a kick ass rum cake and it is rum cake season...

the past few friday nights we have wound up at MIL's for dinner. I was so tired I couldn't see straight yesterday afternoon and C had some sort of stomach thing going on so I told her the 2 of us would pass, David went and casually mentioned something about lobster this morning.
No one said anything about surf & turf....

apparently Legos-not the breakfast food, Legos the toy. With a gift card & some saved up money from allowance, the tooth fairy and those trips to mee maw's house Connor bought a lego airplane today(9,000 pieces or something crazy like that), we were still out running errands and I offered to stop and get him lunch, he wan't very hungry just wanted to get home and he has been working on this airplane non-stop for about 2 hours now, I think it is almost finished but there are lots of leftover pieces so it's kind of hard to tell. I found it funny that he skipped the fast food because I think mcdonald's has teenage mutant ninja turtles with their kid meal deal this week. How do kids know which fast food establishment has which give-away? Connor knows them all well wendy's has this still & burger king has this this week & mcdonald's has that..is there some sort of secret web-site they go to?
